About Tesla North America Guide

tslna.com (Tesla North America Guide) was founded in 2024 as a resource for Tesla owners and shoppers across the United States and Canada. We write buying guides, ownership tips, accessory recommendations, insurance and money-saving advice — and in-depth coverage of TSLA stock and the broader Musk ecosystem.

Why this site exists

The site is run by Lifei, a Tesla owner based in Canada — from placing the order, taking delivery, installing home charging, and getting through winter, to driving Full Self-Driving on a 1,400 km Toronto–Ottawa–Montreal road trip. Along the way one thing stood out: plenty of Tesla information exists for a general audience, but practical, North-America-specific guidance — how to actually read an insurance quote as a newcomer, the city-by-city details of buying, the real differences between owning and investing in the US versus Canada — is surprisingly thin. This site exists to fill that gap.

How we write

  • Fact-checking. Anything involving prices, policy, or rebates is cross-checked against at least three independent sources, with the date noted. If we can’t verify it, we cut it.
  • Real experience first. Accessory recommendations are based on actual use — bought it, used it, made the mistakes, then wrote it up.
  • Transparent monetization. This site earns income through the Tesla owner referral program and select affiliate links. Every article containing affiliate links says so in the text, and recommendations are never paid placements. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
  • Disclaimer. Our content is for information only and is not investment, legal, tax, or purchase advice. Stocks carry risk; for important decisions, consult a licensed professional.
